GRECIAN LYRIC FINANCIALS
LADY MCBRAVE SYNDICATE

GRECIAN  LYRIC  will not run on the 12th. She has received an injury to her cannon bone and will probably have to be retired. We , and especially the partners , cannot afford to pay for rehabilitation considering that she has only one start left if not at least 4th. To give her time off is not an option under these circumstances.
Even LAST DEVIL  has favored his knee after a gallop this morning . We have all put in enough money to get him well.
It seems that all out energy and finances should be pointed towards the breeding operation.
Brave Civilian will be a yearling in a few weeks and of course we will be looking forward to the foal of Brother Dereck.

No partner will be asked for any more funds towards Grecian Lyric or Last Devil.
The trainer has taken the biggest beating of all financially .

More news as it develops

We will still be promoting participation in the new claiming partnership.
$5000 horses are a thing of the past for this kind of operation. There must be a place to drop horses if necessary and to earn a big enough purse to maintain the stable and provide cushion for injuries.

BRAVE , LADY AND QUEEN ALL DOING FINE.

LADY MCBRAVE BREEDING PARTNERSHIP UPDATE:

THE FOAL PRODUCED BY THE MATING OF BROTHER DERRICK AND QUEEN HYPOLITA OFFICALLY BELONGS TO THE LADY MCBRAVE PARTNERSHIP. THIS IS THE NUMBER 2 MARE WE ORGININALY VOTED ON.

HERE ARE SOME FACTS ON QUEEN HYPOLITA:
1. She has a weanling now
2. Her race record is outstanding to say the least
68 starts (good indication of soundness)
                            15 wins
                            12 2nds
                            11 3rds
Total earnings of $326,165

Remember we own the  FOAL not the mare

All the information you need about her and Brother Derrick can be had
for free on the Equibase site.

We will decide by vote , as we did in this case, on what to do with Lady McBrave when this foal drops. Breed her again or sell her at auction. That
decision is four months away. What Brave Civilian looks like when he is a yearling should be a big factor in this vote. Right now he is growing beautifully.

Here are some other facts of interest:
Here are some facts published by the New York Jockey Club , governing body of Thoroughbred Racing regarding WV Breeding Statistics:
Year is 2013
1. average purse for WV Breds $16,540
2. average weanling price for WV Breds in public auctions $30,000.
3. average yearling price for WV Breds in public auctions  $19,000
4. average 2 year old price for WV Breds in public auctions $30,000
Most of these horses do not have Stormy Atlantic in their breeding as  Lady Does (her daddy of course) and Brother Derrick is just as impressive.
